A lot can change in a mouth of any horse in a short space of time. Just because he has seen a dentist within the last 12 months, does not mean its not his teeth.
You need to get the dentist back out :)

Mine did this once but he had had an accident in the field,on a particularly windy day. No external signs of trauma but he was also behaving as if he was a little concussed or sedated (he was far too quiet for him;).He'd taken some fencing down and ended up on other side of a divided field-how or why, nobody knows!)

Vet out and 1 X-ray and a scan later showed he'd fractured his cheek and had a big blood clot in his sinus. Teeth thankfully ok. Quidding stopped the next day but had to have soaked hay and soupy feeds for a week or so& several weeks off work to let fracture heal. Bloodclot burst a few days after and he drew all over his white walls with blood, when it eventually drained out of his nose;)

Any chance yours has sustained a knock OP? Any concussion, or blood from the nose?
