memememememe! i'm going friday night, with my lovely hubby who bought tickets as a treat for us cos i complained we don't do anything together! i can't wait!!!

Hi Everyone!
Just finished bacon, baked beans and smash mash for tea! How disgusting is that!
OH is going to work nights in a minute. Yippee!!! I can eat ice cream out of the tub, lie stretched out on the settee with laptop and TV at the same time and burp and fart the beans without admonishment!! Hurrah!

Me: 20 years old. Student. About to start the third year of a degree in Spanish and Portuguese. This means the coming year is my much-awaited year abroad (basically the only reason anyone ever studies languages.....it's like a gap year, but in the MIDDLE of your degree!!). I'm off to Spain in a week actually! Grew up in a small village on the edge of the Peak District but I've been studying in central London for the last two years. Horsey did not come with me (nor did my cat, despite his many and persistent attempts to pack himself into my suitcase!).
Horsey: 17 yr old Arab mare called Lulu. 14.3hh. Grey. Talents include looking pretty and eating. Currently employed as a family pet (my mum adores her) after her loan home didn't work out (I think they got fed up with her inability to do anything other than look pretty and eat :p). Owned her for 9 years :)

Wow that sounds fab. Think I studied the wrong thing, I should have done languages lol. I bet even when your abroad you have a lot of work on though.
The idea of your cat trying to get in your suitcase made me smile, evil mummy, leaving him behind.
Your horse sounds lovely :)

Cate did some excellent jumping earlier.. I fell over a pole and lay on the floor in stealth mode!

Went up yard at 6 to bring in cause of the nasty weather and shes now all snug as a bug.

OH has left for work. Ice cream is already out of the freezer, wine is open, ibuprofen have been taken, laptop on and radio 2.....what better way to spend a Monday evening..
