Quite dry feet...

what should i do about it? he's having another trim soon (he's barefoot, always has been) but ive just noticed his feet have suddenly got very dry. is there anything that you have found that works to put on his feet to help (preferably not too expensive!)

he is out 24/7 at the moment by the way
 
I use a hoof moist, and in the summer I put a cup of water over the hoof and straight away apply the hoof moist which seals in the water. Efol do a good one and they also have a special summer one for when the hoof is dryer.

I'm assuming you are not in UK to have dry feet.

I've never had this problem, but I've heard Aqueous cream is good (and cheap) for this purpose.

Available from chemists and supermarkets.
 
i use Kevin Bacon, applying it to the sole as well as the hoof wall, and have had really good results so far. I will definately be buying it again when i run out.
 
I'm not really a fan of putting anything on hooves but water. But others have used aqueous without incident. Or try the Kevin bacon stuff then.
 
Don't bothe with kevin bacon. I buy lard 20p from supermarket, melt it and pour into a tub. It's just the same as kevin bacon but your saving £15. I also apply to sole aswell as hoof in the summer
