Quite shocked at this...

Whenever we have had a litter that need feeding its put straight on whelpie on vets orders, not whole milk and corn oil wtf???!!!

i thought the same as other posters. Get in contact with DogLost asap to see if anyone is missing a litter.
 
Certainly doesn't add up, how was the dam able to get run over, I usually have to drag my bitches out for a quick wee when the pups are this tiny. Agree Pink Pony, always used to be Whelpi to supplement pups.

To be fair, weve had bitches that HATE their puppies and leg it as soon as they can get away, but still, you just dont take the chance with pups and being hit by a car, well if they are stolen then this story really tugs the heartstrings. mind you, do they look like they are crossed with a lab to you? be pretty impressive to find a white labrador.

And more to the point, feeding a puppy that young cows milk and oil, thats got to be a big no no.

im half tempted to ring up and ask some questions just to see what they say.
 
I would NEVER separate the pups from their littermates at this
tender age, regardless of situation with their dam. Three weeks
of age is a critical developmental period in a pup's life. They
need to be with other dogs/littermates, etc. Numerous studies
have shown that pups removed from the nest well before 6
weeks, but especially at 3 - 4 weeks can develop strong
relationships with people, but are more likely to find accepting
other dogs, as adults, very difficult. This whole situation is very
suspicious and unsettling.
