Holly passed away at 11am today at the vets. She died in my mums arms, with me stroking her. I'll miss you so much Holly, you've been my little sister for 18 years.
I love you, R.I.P

Thanks everyone. It's the first time I've witnessed anything like that before. It was so quick and she didn't struggle. She was there one moment, then gone the next.

Even though I know we did the right thing, I just feel so sick that I won't ever see my cat again :(
I'm going to see ponio later, so I hope that'll help. I'm getting there early so I have a chance to have a cry and a cuddle before everyone else arrives.

I think losing childhood pets are the hardest of all, because they were a piece of that childhood.

Big hugs, and enjoy your time with Ned. xx

Sorry for your loss :( RIP little'un. Went through this with my childhood cat a couple of years ago, still think about her. Sandy will hopefully look after your Holly, either that or give her a clout which is what she did with our other cats hehe!

Hehe, uh oh! Sounds like there's a fight brewing already in kitty heaven! Holly has always been the boss, even when we first got the dog, she gave her a punch on the nose (with claws!!) just to let woof know that cats rule in this house!

RIP Holly. What a beautiful cat and very much loved. I lost my dog last Thursday (he was nearly 16) so understand what you are feeling. My children have always had him there as he was a year older than my son. Take care of yourself and cry as much as you need, it does help. Hugs to you and your mum. xx

So so sorry for your loss, I know it's not the same but when I was younger our two dogs had to be rehomed because my mum became allergic to them cause she got an auto immune disease, me and my brother had a week off school and I still think about them then, I don't think some people appreciate how much our pets mean to us, I miss them every day, hugs to you, and I hope your beautiful little kitty's causing havvock! Xxxxxx

Rip little kitty, how lucky to be so loved. I lost my lovely horse yesterday, perhaps they are discovering rainbow bridge together and thinking of us as we are thinking of them. Take care xx

Thank you everyone, I really appreciate it. I went to see Neddy and he was very good. A lovely gentle hack is just what I needed.

I'm so sorry to hear about your horse, Emilieu. I've been following the thread but I'm never sure what to say *hugs*
I'm not religious at all, so don't believe in heaven, but it really does help to think there's a place over the Rainbow Bridge where all the animals go. I had never heard of the Rainbow Bridge before I came here, but it's a great comfort :)

I'm so sorry for your loss :(
Rip little kitty she was absolutely beautiful xxxxx
Big hugs to you xx
