There are quite a few rabbit holes in my horses field. Ive filled them up with stones/bricks but Im wondering whether to tape off the main bits where the holes are, or ask if horse can go in with gelding next door that he has been getting to know over the fence (although the horse is quite old) or move yards. What do you suggest?

Im a bit worried about him damaging himself.

A warning on using electric fence poles, they are potential eye injuring or body spearing objects. I have seen horses killed by them and they are banned on the livery yard I am at. Bricks etc will help but one thing that works well but is a bit *cough* illegal is pine cones soaked in diesel.

I usually chuck a few bricks in as well and plonk loads of manure on top when I poo pick but if its bad....shoot them & clear them(if you want a permanent solution).

At the moment they fortunately are over the fence in the bank outside the field, so perhaps my dog has kept them out of the area!! But yes you dont want to end up with a broken leg etc
