Race horse - can anyone find me sales results?

I am looking for sales results of the October 2008 Tattersalls yearling sale for a horse called Cape Cobra - sold for 400,000 gns - been searching for ages on googel now - can anyone find the page or do they not go back that far?
 
Actually I'm toally wrong, he sold for 5000gns in this sale and have found the sale results. I want to find out what sale he sold for 400000gns in - he sold to J Gosden for this price
 
I'm sure that no 2 racehorses can be named the same, in so short a space of time, so either his breeding is wrong or you have being told the wrong foaling times. Go check his pedigree and birth date.

The reason your horse was so ridiculously expensive as a youngster was because of his full brother - Cape Of Good Hope - one of the best and most consistant Sprinters of all time!
 
Just stumbled across this - I used to ride Cape Cobra at HM, and his older brother Cape St Vincent (I've got a few pics of him but not Cobra). Vincent was a bit of a wotsit to ride, not my favourite I have to say. I rode Cape Cobra as a yearling/two year old and can't remember anything bad so he must have been ok!

They can have the same name if they are born in different countries. EG So You Think (AUS) and So You Think (IRE) There are horses in the GB and IRE studbooks with the same name.
 
Sorry to hijack but how can you find sales details?
I'd be interested in finding details of my boy - Pennybid (IRE) out of Benny the Dip who is now 9 years old? Would anybody be able to help me too?? :D

Pennybid went unsold for 2000gns at the Tatts October Yearling Sales. He never went through the ring again.

He has 3 half brothers and a half sister.

Just A Martian - Born 2000 - Sire: Marju
Bolckow - Born 2003 - Sire: Marju
Elle's Angel - Born 2004 - Sire: Tobougg
Turn Left - Born 2005 - Sire: Xaar.
 
And the Oasis Dream-Cape Merino yearling sold to Fergie this morning for 170k gns at Tatts Oct 1, so they have gone back to the family again.

Raced 12 times on the flat winning once and gaining £5726 in prize money.

Sales Record: Unsold as a Foal for 145,000 gns
Sold as a Yearling for 400,000
Entered twice as a 3yo and once as a 4yo but never went.
Sold as a 4yo for 5,000 gns

For his 3 & 4yo year he was trained by John Gosden for HRH Princess Haya Of Jordan. He then went to Mike Murphey as a 5yo for one race before going to his final trainer, Hughie Morrison.

He has 1 full brother, 2 half brothers and a half sister.

Cape Of Good Hope - Born 1998 - Sire: Inchinor - won £1,600,000 in prize money in sprint races around the world. A consistant Group 1 Sprinter.

Cape St Vincent - Born 2000 - Sire: Paris House.

Cape Columbine - Born 2002 - Sire: Diktat - winner of £112,000 in prize money, Group 1 placed sprinter. Now a broodmare and first 2 produce went through the ring for 30,000gns and 100,000gns.

Nephrite - Born 2009 - Sire: Pivotal - won his only start to date and became part of the Coolmore/Ballydoyle squad for 230,000gns as a yearling. Watch out for him in the Classics next year.

Thank you so much for that – where did you find the details from if you don’t mind me asking? Is it a site I have look at or is it limited access??? x
