We are planning to do a couple of these classes over the Summer with the new (ish) ex-racer my daughter has. This is as a bit of an 'aside' while working on his rather green jumping.

Now for the questions....

I have looked at previous winners on SEIB websitead they are all carrying a lot of condition! Ours is only slightly rounder than a fit eventer and is likely to remain this way - his main goals with us are SJ and Eventing so he will be fit - how much will this go against him?

Daughter hasn't ridden atCounty Level for about 4/5years- and then it was WHP, she hasn't done a County flat class since she was on the lead rein so any tips for her? Do the horses do a individual show or does the judge ride?

Also this horse is a fab mover and has a really big extended trot - would she show this off across the diagonal when changing rein or should she stick to his (still good) working trot?

Ay other hints/tips woud be gratefully received especially from anyone who has done these classes or the Search for A Star series.

Go on the RoR website. All questions and info is there and have a hotline you can call and are always very helpful

ROR and SEIB - my horse can be found lurking on the websites! Yours sounds like he would fine condition wise. The judge rides in the flat ROR and the SEIB classes and the horses do a group gallop. People don't generally extend across the diagonal in these classes nor in normal show classes but obviously if you can slightly take your own line you try to show off the best trot you can.
