Racehorse to riding pony 1 month in <video> Also in PG

Hey,

Thought Id show you the video of 1 month in to Lillys racehorse to (hopefully) event horse transformation!

In the past month she hasnt done much as she was VERY VERY VERY skinny, now after alot of feeds per day she is just thin so can hopefully crack on a bit.

What do you think??! Its still BIG work in progress so dont expect too much lol.

Thanks, she is just so easy to ride, esp now she has realised that the little midget ponies are just little midget ponies!! They even cantered over to her the first time I rode her again out there and she didnt bat a eyelid!!!

She's a sweet little horse

By having her so poll low and round though she's struggling with her balance a little- I'd allow her to be a little more up in front until she has the strength behind to work properly.

To be honest she hasnt got the strength in front to carry herself much higher than where she is now.

At the moment as long as shes soft and round ish im happy.

If you look back at the post from when I got her you will see what I mean. She is just incredibly weak.

I would rather her be low and carrying herself at the moment then bring her more up in time. I agree that there are moments when shes overbent but she is only just starting x

She's doing really well! They're so quick to learn, bless them. My TB was out PN eventing within 6 months of coming off the track, novice by 7 months. Good luck!

I agree it's nice to see you riding her nice and forward on a soft contact, I think you are right if you tried to "pick her up" now she'd just hollow, long and low is lovely.
