Racesafe motion3 body protector - is this new?

I'm in the market for a new BP. I've tried the race safe old one and provent before and couldn't get the fit right but going to try again.

There's a Motion3 one on their website, is it new? Anyone tried or seen a review?

I know there is a new one. Imagine that it is. I’m probably due a new one so interested in any feed back.

It is, I had an email from one of the saddlerys about it. I think they're meant to be 20% lighter, more ventilated and more flexible and so more comfortable. I'm gutted as I bought a new body protector at the beginning of the year and I would have preferred to have the most up to date one but can't justify it.

Yes, they are the newest model. Retailing at £297, so £25 more than the Provent 3.

Squeak, I'm due to replace my Provent 3 this year, think I'll hang on till my local saddler gets my size in before making the decision.

I broke my BP this weekend, nothing dramatic: Mum bought it me in 2011 and I was still using it but the elastic lost the elasticity on one strap, making the strap too long.

Just been into the shop and tried one on. It didn't feel too different to the ProVent, but the back on the Provent has a section that is solid whereas the Motion3 is all hinged. I could feel the difference that made. I couldn't honestly feel the difference in the weight.

The new one is dark blue instead of grey.

TBH, I nearly bought the Provent as they had my size in, whereas I'm having to wait for the new one until Wednesday. But, the Provent was the same price, and I fancied the new one!

I bought the new one. My old one was the one before the provent with the shiny cover. The new one is definitely cooler, can feel the breeze when going faster.

It's definitely lighter when held in your hand but agree it makes no difference when it's on.

I do like it.
