I've known of few (he was local to here so used a lot for pointers) and most of them have been forward going (!!) and talented. Can't say I've heard too much about bad feet though and bad news usually travels like wildfire!
I have friend who has a 5yo mare by him - would agree with the 'forward going(!!) and talented' comment - lovely natured mare,(admittedly only have ever met the one by him so can only comment on that) xx
I had a super little mare by him, yes I'd agree that she was quite forward thinking but very kind and straight forward and she is now a quiet hack in the New Forest with fairly novice owners. She had a super jump in her and I only retired her after she put a foot down a hole and buggered a ligament hence why she is now a hack.
I know this thread is very old but thought someone might be interested. I have a gelding by him. Fantastic nature, very kind and very clever. When I was competing him he was always commented upon. Very, very, very fast!!, did nothing slow! Only bad points, which to be fair could have been inherited from his mum are slightly long in the back and parrot mouthed. Unfortunatley I have since had to retire him due to re-occuring PSD/SI. If I came accross another gelding by him I'd snap him up striaght away!
