I am looking for a saddle for point to pointing in. I don't want to be a ridiculous amount. Anyone recommend brands and where to buy from? I think I probably want a leather one, but I am not sure

No sure what size you are, I think the leather ones tend to be slightly heavier. My saddle came from Gibsons Saddlers Newmarket & is now fairly old & very well used. Its quite big although not massively heavy. http://www.gibson-saddlers.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=42
My ex had a weighted racing saddle from Old Mill Saddlery (Ireland) which was lovely & I think they will make all shapes & sizes. http://www.saddlery.biz/sp/templateid/146/searchbox10/Racing_Saddles.html
If you are not needing it this season (not much of this season left?) then try to choose one in real life (not internet) as they do vary a huge amount.

Yeh it is for next season. I dont think I will need a super light one. I have been told it is better to have a heavier saddle than carry more lead. You dont often see them for sale out and about, but I will keep an eye out. Thanks

Yes I have one, Its quite old as I gave up a few years ago, I shall never use it again. I am in cumbria, I shall only want a nominal amout as I would love it to be in use again!! I actually have 2 to choose from. PM me. Also loads of racing tack if you are interested.
