RAF Holton in March

Is that the sponsored ride? I was thinking about it but it has gone up in price again hasn't it? Nice ride though, the jumps are good.

Echo Vicki's comment, it is the most mad ride I've ever been on in terms of numbers of horses and people falling off left right and centre!! Would certainly not advise taking a young horse and agree about the ground being very boggy, we had to skip a few fences last year where the ground was just too boggy.
But it is a nice ride if you've got a fairly sensible horse!!

I think if you can ask for a really early time you would be fine. Took OH on his new horse last year and she can be a bit strong willed, and he went very quiet as we ddrove in to be faced with horses everywhere, a group of 6 in the warm-up hooning around like idiots in matching outfits and I swear, a group of 10 or more from a local ponyclub all heading through the start as two groups and joining up as soon as they got round the corner!! But once you are out on the ride it isn't too bad, we had one slightly shocking experience when a girl on a totally out of control horse came by ata gallop on a narrwo path, luckily OH's mare heard her and we all got out of the way!!
But seriously, its a nice ride, as long as you can go before the masses arrive i think!

I did it 2 years ago, had a brilliant time though terrible braking issues. People were having problems with livelier horses, looked a bit dangerous at times. I'd love to do it with Ronnie but would have to have an early as possible start time (which understandably go very quickly). We had an 11am ish start time and the ground was terrible at some jumps, I missed out those ones.

I think it might be on the same date as the rescheduled Hatfield House ride which is a LOT quieter for anyone with a young/nervous type, so that might be worth considering...

I usually do both but will have moved to Aberdeenshire by then!
