Today Raff went to his new loan home... i really couldn't have found a nicer girl to loan him. As soon as i read her first email, i just knew she was 'the one'. He's being kept on a lovely yard, with lovely people, and lovely horses.

He practically loaded himself, as if he knew how much fun he has ahead of him.

I cried (lots) for about ten mins, but then pulled myself together... and now i'm just feeling really excited for him, and the amazing year he has ahead of him. I'm going to visit him regularly, without being the annoying owner (i hope!). Not to check up, because i know he'll be VERY well looked after... but to remind myself why i'm doing it.

The girl that has him has already put a load of photos up on facebook for me... i'm sure she won't mind me showing y'all... :D

Sounds like he has gone from one fab home to another! Have followed his story, and although never posted before, would like to wish you both all the luck in the world!

He looks fab especially after what he has been through. I think he has the most lovely kindest face and am very much looking forward to hearing updates on how he is getting on both from you and his 'auntie'. I k now it must be hard waving him off but just think, he is still yours, you still get to see him and make sure he is safe and happy but you wont be wracked with guilt about not riding / not having the time for him. Happy times for all!

Hee hee glad you liked the headshot :-)

He is a super chilled boy and he is a credit to you. (and he is gorgeous!) Cant wait to accompany him for nice hacks with Charlie, we are all SO happy he has come to stay for a bit! Sis is over the moon :D

You can be assured that he will get Oooodles of TLC and the best of everything!!

He certainly looks so so happy (think it could be the grass ;) ), he has gone to a fantastic home, you couldnt have chosen or asked for better, and its true you didnt cry to much I only have half a snotty arm.

Think of how much unpressured fun we will have this winter, starting in two weeks with xc training :) :).

am sad this morning though... :( but have a busy day ahead, so i'm sure i'll find something to take my mind of it. i'm off to Walsall this afternoon to pick up some saddles... hope the sun shines, so i can cruise along, singing (wailing) along to the radio....

xx

(((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) to you.
I'm so glad you found Raff a nice place to stay for a while and i'm glad you are going to see him lots to. I hope you are going to have happyer times ahead now you and Raff deserve that so much after all you have been through.

P.S He's looking fab considering all he's been through lately he's a real credit to you. :)

Clippy is another one of your happy posts??

*finger hovvers over the button*;):D:D

Glad Raff has gone somewhere for a nice extended holiday:cool: - sounds like he will be loved and having some fun! so a result all round!:)

Nooooo don't push the button...

My husband keeps calling it a 'holiday'... Or a 'sabbatical'... And tells me off when i call it his new home.
It takes the pressure off me a bit- so i can concentrate on getting riding without the worry about ruining him with my nerves. And the guilt of looking at him in the field. I know he's a horse and is happy as larry grazing without being ridden... But it seems like such a waste when he is such a good, sane, safe, yet talented horse. And he's only young, and has already had 18months off.
The girl that has him is planning on hacking etc... But i bet she will end up jumping. Maybe even doing a few classes or something with him as he's a proper little schoolmaster to jump.

*slaps own face for being such a wimplet*
X

Am glad you have found him a lovely happy home, just for his holidays!
It is sad that's he's not with you anymore, but am so glad that you are happy and excited for him to be with ArtySteph's sister.

And he is Soooo happy this morning, dont worry. He is enjoying the grass and has made great pals with her young horse Apollo, they kept each other company over the fence whilst the others were out hacking. When we got back he kinda wandered back to the grass as if to say, 'there you go Apollo, they're back. Can I go eat now? lol'
Can totally understand that you miss him ! :(

Only just discovered this post, lol! Has been a busy 24 hours :)

*Waves to everyone*

As Artysteph says, Raff is doing great! He's happy stuffing his face, and chatting to the neighbours :)
He travelled like a dream, and walked down the alley to the yard like he'd done it all his life, he is SO chilled out for his age!! I am totally and utterly THRILLED to have him :) :)
Just as importantly, I am thrilled that you are happy clipcloppop! I don't want you to be too sad :( And like your hubby says, it's not his new home, think of it as a working holiday for him ;)
As for the 'ending up jumping' part.......hmmmmmm ;) It would be nice if he could finally rid me of my jumping stress, but we will see, lol!!! I'm looking forward to trips to Thetford more than anything!!

Really eager to finish work now so I can get down to him and have some Raff time :)

Hello and thanks jemima_too!!!! Long time no speak :) :)

Aw Clippy, how nice that Raffs loaner is on here too! He is looking great and i'm sure he'll have lots of fun until he goes back home to you :)

So pleased you found such a nice place for him, it's great piece of mind isn't it?
