...it's a good 'un
MY BEAUTIFUL LITTLE MAN IS FIXED
YES, FIXED!!!!
so, v brief background... Raff fractured his radius 6 weeks ago and has been crosstied ever since.
6 week xrays today, expecting (hoping) to find some healing, and would prob have to leave him tied for another 6 weeks.
BUT, it really has healed well, and vet has taken his bandage off. said he has to stay cross tied for only ONE more week (so we can check he's managing okay without the bandage) and then he's allowed to see the next 6 weeks out as box rest. WOOHAY!
the best news is, i'm allowed to take him out in hand for 5 mins twice a day!
so, this morning, after 6 weeks of being tied up, unable to move... i braced myself for an eventful walk... but, bless him, he didn't put a foot wrong. he was quiet as a lamb (albeit a lamb with eyes on stalks) but walked nicely next to me.
We went for a little graze and he was SO chuffed.
WHOOPEE!
I'm so very very very very proud of my darling Raff. he has been kind, patient and delightful to have over the last 6 weeks. all the time, effort, stress, worry, tears etc have been worth it.
Thank you for everyone's kind words and thoughts.
i'll post a pic of him later, i forgot my camera today.
*grins from ear to ear*
