For those of you that were asking to see a picture of Ragusa, look in on page 56 (Fry's International report) of this week's issue of H&H. He is the chestnut doing extended trot at the bottom of the page :).

Many of you may well actually also own pictures of his dam Rylandes Tacta without knowing it. If your horse has a BWBS/ WWB(UK) or BSHR passport or your stallion is graded with them and issues their covering certificate then the ID silhoutte on the form is based on a stood up photo of Tacta. I think you can see the likeness if you look at the two together :)

Rather a long time ago -- then Pammy and Carl forbad Rachel to do it with him anymore as they thought he was too valauble a prospect to risk getting hurt that way. And of course they were right :)

Along the way (ie before the ban :)) he did also qualify for the BYEH finals though and came 15th at a time when eventing a warmblood (shock, horror!!) was an absolutel no no and the SHBGB listed judge doing the conformation assessment part was particularly adverse to them -- so all in all a very good result considering. Mike Tucker also said some very flattering things about him in his commentary on the sj round as well which was nice. But then hsi sire Rambo did get 10s for both his paces and his jump in his performance test, Tacta's sire was an international showjumper in Scandinavia and her dam's sire was a top class producer of dressage horses in Sweden, so I suppose he did have it all going for him from the beginning, and not by chance of course :)
