Hi everyone
The fields on my current yard are ragwort contaminated. Most of the plants are in the rosette stage, but some of them are flowering. I used to remove the plants myself as soon as I saw them, but my horse was moved twice to a different field without my knowledge - both of them ragwort contaminated. I'd like to move to a ragwort free yard since my horse has elevated liver enzyme levels which doesn't have to, but could be related to poisonous plants. I was told that it will be difficult to find a livery yard around Cambridge where the plant doesn't grow on the fields. Is this true? Do you all have ragwort on the fields, and do you let your horses graze if the plant is in the rosette stage only?
