I have spent all year (and and off - I do have other things to do!!) writing to Natural England about the Ragwort next door. Finally they sent someone out and it was agreed that there was Ragwort but as it had in their opinion finished flowering it posed no threat to my land. Now the land has been sold and I have to start the complaint all over again. But hold on - not now because its not flowering. Wait until it flowers, then complain and then go through the lengthy complaint porcess and hey ho it will have finished flowering before the 2012 paperwork gets done and another year of it seeding onto my fields. If I coudl afford it I would put up a big solid fence!

Pathetic isn't it.
I got a story published in our local paper with a photo of me sitting in a field full of ragwort on council land.Council came back with the usual crap about how they take it seriously etc etc you and I have heard it all before haven't we?
Next thing is they go out with a ride on lawnmower and cut it all down, great so next year it will be back with a vengence!
I also had a go at Corporation of London for having a paddock full of ragwort and what did they do?
Yes, put loads of cattle in it!
Again, very strangely overnight after I told them how STUPID they were the ragwort was cut down, again it will simply grow back no one seems to take it seriously and dig it up, burn it or spray it, they just cut it down..

Why not have a chat with the new owners and explain the dangers of Ragwort to them and give them a leaflet explaining it. If they are responsible they will have it all sprayed off.
However if they fail to co-operate then contact your local member of parliament and again explain the problem.
