Its to try to highlight the dangers of this dangerous plant. Alarmingly I found ragwort in a friends new batch of hay today!!! shame on the producer to not care at all that it is poison and can inflict great harm including death to a horse!
If you have it in your field or paddock please wear gloves and pull it up and burn, I see acres of grass land with horses on it with ragwort growing freely and this is potential danger that can be avoided with a bit of care. If you see it growing report the land owner to Natural England.
