The good news is we have had more rain in 48 hours than we have had in months. :D fingers crossed we will get some grass growing now :D

The bad news is its a saturday and I wanted to ride BUT I have a grey horse and he is unrugged.....................:mad::mad::mad:

Anyone else paddling around in the rain?:D

So pleased it's raining at last. The fields around here are bare. The local farmer is having to feed his sheep already as they have no grass. My boy's field is bare but he has still put on weight.

I dont think we have had a day without rain for over a month over here in the north west..
aparenty the met office long range forcast is for cold and wet for the rest of the year so that's good news it will be a sunny and dry autum:D

lol I love your optimism!

We are now on our 4th day of rain and it still quite exciting. The grass is growing as I look at it so now we are on laminitis watch for one of the horses. Had a youngster with spasmodic colic last night (he does this everytime the grass flushes). Kept him in to keep an eye on him and he was right as rain within a couple of hours. The rest of them are enjoying rolling in the mud!

I actually would like the rain to stop now please. I am going to V festival next saturday and I will be splodging in knee deep mud if this continues. Instead of swanning around hippy stylie. :(

Please stop raining and you may continue after the festival Amen.

:D:D

well we have a weather warning here(kent ) for heavy rain suppose to be 25mm in 3 hrs , so our fields will have a good water finally

Had heavy rain first thing, then a few hours of intermittent drizzle and now full on heavy showers again. Quite a bit of flooding on the sides to halfway across the smaller roads where it's all coming off the fields, etc.

It rained all day yesterday and when I got up to my field at 7 my big brown horse, who had a lightweight TO on, was shivering. He's wearing a medium weight rug. In August. Bonkers.

Grass looks amazing though. I let them out on the grassy side today. it's only had two weeks rest but it is looking luuush! They seemed very happy :)

Ick, just got in and I'm dripping wet! No riding for me either as for some unknown reason my horse was the only one on the yard turned out without a rug this morning! Off to get in a nice warm bath....damn weather! :p

bright sunshine here :p we seem to be getting our rain overnight at the mo, altho it was rather nasty yesterday :( at least there will be plenty of grass to go round!!

Raining here and glad as we really do need it, have had heavy rain all night and most of today (on/off, sunshine inbetween) but i have been soaked through twice today and one of my horses is very grumpy.
Looked at the forcast and also suppose to have heavy rain here tues & wed, day and night.
