I was going to post the same, this is my first winter as a horse owner and i can see that it is a real test of your passion for horses! I definately wouldn't be without him, but the wind and the torrential rain is driving me spare. We can't turn out because the fields are flooded and tonight I couldn't ride because it was blowing a gale and bucketing down and just wouldn't have been safe. George must be bored out of his brain and so fed up.

I am dreading going out in a minute because it has rained and met office reckons it is -3 out there...nice! I just try to get through each day of rain as it comes as I worry my field stable will flood, it keeps getting close but has not yet thank god! The mud in front of it now has turned to thick soup which is a real delight to wade through each day but I cannot put hard core stuff down as I only rent the field. My horse is not too bothered though! I ride in the rain because otherwise I never would and we are both trying to loose some weight!
