Rain rain GO AWAY!!!!!

agreed, getting depressing now.
I hate the unpredictably of it also, one minute its sunshine and hot then all of a sudden its thunderstorms, hail and chilly, though today its just been raining 24/7.

I am also getting fed up with this weather I know we needed the rain, but this is getting to much now. It has rained here since 9.30 this morning & hasn't stopped all day. They say it is in for the whole week & weekend

Well let me put it this way,if no rain,no grass or hay, higher water bills, lack of water and you don't want to go onto standpipes as one of my family had to do in the 70's, she said it was degrading. We are back to what they call April weather and seeing that March was warm and very dry, hopefully we are back on track weatherwise. Just be thankfull that we are getting rain and not in a very serious drought situation.

I KNOW we need the rain, am just fed up of it :(

Field resembles a bog :(

And rain or no rain, there will always be a 'hay shortage' (or in other words, farmers complaining about not enough rain/snow/sun/heat wave) and using THAT to justify charging extortionate hay prices

Sorry guys, I thought SAD only happened in the winter months :(Seems I'm affected now in April :o

*sigh*

I am sick of it too even the horses are miserable - the fields are disgusting and there is nothing "little" about the amount we have had day in day out for weeks - including hail storms. i don't mind a bit of rain, but give us some sunshine in the middle of it too for heaven's sake....sunshine tomorrow please!!!!

If you are fed up of it now, just wait until weds!!!! My fields have bizzarre springs coming up everywhere, which I have never seen before....

I agree with EB that we desparately need this rain, but it would be nice if it was coupled with some warmth to get the grass going a bit more.

Hmmmm, we are never happy are we!

My horses paddocks are boggy, and wet and muddy, but were farmers, and we desperately need this for the water tables and for the sugarbeet, im sure everyone who crops vegetables is equally as thankful. My horses are wet in their wet paddocks, but I must be one of the lucky ones, my horses are waterproof, two of them.came From bogs in Ireland...

i agree - very fed up. fields are much boggier than they were in winter and i live in scotland - we don't need any more rain! no drought here or ever likely to be!

This is definitely the wettest drought I've ever known. And it's apparently the wrong sort of rain!!! Too much foliage around now for it to get into the water course, or something.

I am in the situation where either way it doesn't help my horse. I don't dare complain about the rain because the lack of it meant the grass has so far not grown well and my horse is a poor doer and really needs a good serving of grass to get her summer weight especially after the winter. BUT she is also sensitive to cold and wet conditions and currently suffering with a very sore back again which I am sure is not helped by current weather conditions if they haven't helped bringing it on and it would do wonders if she could stand in the warmth of the sun...
At the end of the day we cannot change the weather and it's best to just get on with it I think. I try not to think of it too much
