I feel so guilty that my baby is out in the rain - its been constant all day. He's well rugged up and he would go crazy inside but still I feel so damn guilty...does anyone else feel it too?
Ha - I'd forgotten about his blubber...I keep thinking he'll be waiting by the gate with his head hung low looking all miserable or shaking with cold but in reality he's probably at the farthest point of the field munching merrily...
Nope, dad bought my three in at 12pm. They were waiting up the fence and practically flattened him as they went through the gate. They are now happily munching away in their stables with their rugs drying out, though they do look like drownded rats. I'm too soft tbh but dont see why they should be out getting soaked and standing in mud being miserable if i'm lucky enough to have stables for them to shelter in. Plus they are much happier for it which then makes my life easier. A grumpy TB and sh!tland are not fun, with the only one not really fussed is the exmoor!
I don't feel guilty. Mine have their Super-plus Rambos on, and they'll be warm and toasty underneath, and they have a choice of hay or grass to keep them occupied.
Mine won't go in even though he has 2 stable to choose from. But no, he is out, in a light waterproof, it's thundering and lightning, he puts his head in to eat his hay.
Don't feel guilty. I left the five year olds in for longer than usual this morning due to the sleet and snow. They are unrugged and live out but come in for a couple of hourse for a feed, hay and kip.
I finally gave up waiting for the weather to improve and chucked them out at 2.00 pm. Five minutes later they were all happily out grazing in the middle of the field ignoring their field shelter.
