Get a really nice pretty printed copy?? Ideally A5 size?

Yesterday my friend had to have her beloved old man PTS he had been unwell for a long time and he battled hard and overcame so much but finally he had had enough.
Last night she saw a spiritualist type person (totally unconnected to her) and she mentioned about a white horse stood on a rainbow...
I didnt know about this untill after I told her today he had gone over Rainbow Bridge (strange eh?) and about the poem Rainbow Bridge, id like to get a copy and frame it for her but i have not got access to a printer.

I wish I did, but sorry I don't ..... what a lovely friend she has in you though ... good luck in your search

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,
Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.
Where the friends of man and woman do run,
When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,
Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.
All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,
Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;
Together again, both person and pet.
So they run to each other, these friends from long past,
The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,
Has turned into joy once more in each heart.
They embrace with a love that will last forever,
And then, side-by-side, they cross over… together.

God saw you getting tired,
and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arms around you
and whispered "come with me"

With tearfull eyes we watched you suffer
and saw you fade away,
Although we could not bear to lose you,
We could not bid you to stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working feet were laid to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
he only takes the best.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
never to be seperated again.

another lovely poem.....

A time for us to part, my beloved friend for I can see your time on earth is at an end. It is time for you to gallop to heaven, but know my love for you is never ending. I will see you again, my friend, in a place in eternity where joy never ends.

my friend found this and printed it for me when i lost my yearling earlier this year. I have made a nice poster (a4) thing with some pictures of him, laminated it and put it in the tack room where i can see it everyday

How about the one I carry with me everywhere wrapped around the last photo of my beloved WB filly that I lost at 2 :

A million times I've needed you, a million times I've cried
If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I love you still;
It broke my heart to lose you but you didn't go alone,
Part of me went with you the day God took you home.

I found this one when I lostTrooper

Always I'll remember you
Happy, running free
Michevious and playful
Gently loving me.

Other friends may follow
Kindly by my side
But forever in sweet memory
Tis you that I shall ride

Can't remember who the author is, sorry

Horses that life has set free, a million white horses forever to be. Don’t cry for the horses now in God’s hands, as they dance and the prance to a heavenly band. They were ours as a gift but never to keep, as they close their eyes forever to sleep. Their spirits unbound on silver wings they fly, a million white horses against the blue sky. Look up into heaven you’ll see them above, the horses we lost the horses we loved.

Manes and tails flowing they gallop through time, they were never yours they were never mine. Don’t cry for the horses they will be back some day, when our time has come they will show us the way. On silver wings they will lift us to the warmth of the sun, when our life is over and eternity has begun. We will jump the sun and dance over the moon, A ballet of horses and riders on the wings of a heavenly tune. Do you hear that soft nicker close to your ear?

Don’t cry for the horses love the ones that are here. Don’t cry for the horses lift up your sad eyes, can’t you see them as they fly by? A million white horses free from hunger and pain, their spirits set free until we ride again.
