Does anybody know where I can buy a card or a nice illustrated print-out to put in a card of the rainbow bridge story?

Our friends lost a dog today in dreadful circumstances. :(

No idea on cards/gift but I feel for your friends. I hope they are as OK as they can be.

Actually, when we lost Herman, one of the reps at work (he came to work every day) bought us an Orchid plant. We aren't in the least bit flowery and I pretty much ignored the poor thing once its petals had dropped off but couldn't bring myself to bin it. It's now flowering again (and is being looked after) and it makes me smile when I look at it now, especially as it is in front of 2 canvases we have of the great oafish boy.

Thank you both, I found this lovely card and might just print out the poem and pop it inside.

I'll be waiting with the wine and the tissues when she's ready to talk. :(

when a friend of mine recently lost her dog I found a card with poppies on. Inside I wrote
"poppies are for remembrance. We will always remember ......"

We've all been a bit leaky this weekend. He was Daxy's honorary big brother owned by the people that were so kind to us when we first brought D home and were struggling with her. Three weeks from first symptom to PTS with an amputation along the way. :( Taken too young like their other two sibes, it is the most unfair thing and I'm heartbroken for them.

Yes, I think the cruellest thing is that it was so quick and they had their hopes raised several times along the way, even the night before he was PTS. :(

First week in new job and I've seen more dead dogs than I'd care to and handed over too many to the bloody pound. Thankfully it is generally evened out with the happy reunions and the wonderful caring owners with scrummy new puppies. :)

H took home 2 kittens that were going to be drowned just before Christmas. Eventually talked her dad into having them and took them to him beginning of this month. Went back to work on the Monday and by the evening had another kitten, this has now been joined by its litter mate. At least she found someone else for the pony she was trying to talk me in to having.:p

I've already tried to persuade my mother that she needs a silver bengal boy to match her psychopathic cream bengal thing (he's still available if anyone wants one, de-balled and ready to go :p).

No danger of me taking any cats home but I was very reluctant to hand old skinny Bobbie over. Hillbrae takes all our stray dogs, will have to see if I can help with any fundraising stuff for them.
