OK, I give up, the credit card is going to take a hammering - I'm fed up of Josh's Weatherbeeta rug slipping back and not fitting properly.

Any votes for either of the above? I am tempted to go for the Rhino, but I already have the m/w version so would have 2 identical rugs but different weights! I know the Duo is meant to be the rug to replace all rugs, but I already have a M/W (which I like) and a L/W (which is adequate) so is there any point?

In your case I would just buy a heavyweight rug.

I have a Rambo Duo - but it's the only turnout rug he has (apart from his LW). And I intend him to live in it permantently.

I wondered who on earth Tempi was for a moment

Love my Rambo duo... one of the only rugs that doesn't rub my mare.... She's turned out in it at this time of year without the lining.

I just love Rambo/Rhinos full stop - begs the question why on earth I bought the Weatherbeeta?

I bought a Rambo Duo about a month ago. For the price, I expected it to be perfect but Ive found the odd little thing Id like improved / changed. I find the rug slips FORWARD! When the horse leans down with his neck, it seems to pull the rug right forward meaning his bum gets a bit exposed. I found rain got in round the neck part if I wasnt using the neck cover. The neck cover itself is very slim fitting - it would never fit my Welsh Cobs neck for example and even feels slightly tight on my TB! I could loosen it a bit but the velcro bit is very stiff so cant really. Also, there's a diamond shaped bit on the chest which is left uncovered which could have been sorted by the neck cover being bigger...

I have always loved my Weatherbeeta's though. Am yet to put the Duo through the worst of the winter so maybe it'll be excellent I dont know!

Magic Melon.... I had the same problem with the rug being pulled forward... I got the larger size in the end and although he measures 6' on the dot he wears a 6'3" and that does not pull forward at all...

I agree with what you say regarding the leaking at the neck though and wont now use mine without the neck on.

And why oh why does he have to poo on the tail flap all the time.. he does it in all of his rugs... the left hand side of the tail flap is always encrusted in poo

my husbands credit card has just 'accidently' bought a rambo duo. and i am really impressed with it, altho it hasnt rained yet since ive had it so cant advise on that but am amazed with how light weight it is. and he is only wearing it with out the liner and neck cover atm. i'd go for it.
