When do you actually use it?!
I purchased one last year (or more like two years ago!) thinking it sounded amazing... super shiny horse minimum effort!
It's pretty much unused sat in the tack room still. I used it a few nights like an under rug but it slides back a bit so not for overnight use really. Same to turnout under a turnout rug.
I'd not use it as a flysheet as it's black and think it would be too warm.

Not an owner of one.... But have seen a couple being used at the yard mainly before shows and for putting on overnight in the stable during show season. And they do seen to work!!

But... I do agree they seem to slide back and I can't really see a use for them other than the showing side of things :s. I think super hairy highland would sweat to death in one!

I have two we use them in the summer mainly. After bathing, travelling if it is warm, or just as a fly rug in the stable.

One of them has ear holes, and one has not. They are both pretty good for staying put, it is best if they are a snug fit.
