Recently purchased a new grey horse - now learning all the tricks to keep him clean. Can anyone give me their views on the Rambo Dustbuster Plus - I realise this is a stable only one - I understand it makes them all nice and shiny, but does it stop poo soaking through and staining though as my chap is a bit of a teenager and spends a lot of time horizontal when hes in.

Thanks muchly.

I stopped using mine in the end as it just seemed to let the wee/poo stains through so you had a poopy rug AND horse :D And the static from it was horrific :(
I use a no fill turnout and stable chaps now if needing to keep clean :)

I have a white grey and I really like the close fitting suits made by Snuggy Hoods, you can use them with or without a hood/neck cover. My pony wees on his tummy sometimes and when using the turnout version his tummy doesnt get wet and stained (using the lycra version isnt as good but still not bad) The turnout one is a bit like jodphur material, it wont keep every stain out but they are pretty good -they arent called 'spik and span' rugs for nothing lol

You can quite often get them in the sale or from them on ebay

They make great under rugs and also mean no cold rugs against the skin when moving from indoor to outdoor rugs

The best way we have found is put a thin fleece or summer sheet on - clean with a Snuggy turnout hood this covers neck, shoulders and face, topped with turnout rug, stops stains soaking through. If legs are a problem bandage or use leg wraps.
