Rambo Rugs

Hi everyone.

I have got a second hand rambo rug sale but not sure on the weight....

Its red with the cream binding and a full neck, and unusal for a rambo its only got 2 surchingles.

Anyone got an ideas?!

That sounds like the wug turnout.

a good rug but a few years old now.

They did them in medium and heavy weight

Think it might be a MW Wug! Mine is wine-colour rather than a postbox red and doesn't have the cream binding, and I'm fairly certain I bought it as a HW.

Its been in my tack room for nearly 2 years its about time I used it lol.

Are Wugs not the "high necks"? This is a full neck.

I thought I had read somewhere that black binding was MW and the cream was HW.

I havent got a photo sorry, I was thinking I needed a heavier weight rug then remembered I had this one

If the neck has filling in then it is their heavy weight (approx 350), if the nexk has no filling then it is their MW (200 ish). Given it only has 2 x surcingles then I would imagine this is the rug that came out only for a year or two after the pruple ones stopped, shortly after that they introduced the 3 surcingle variety. At a guess I would say this rug is around 8 years old?

Yes, you're right. Wugs are just the high/half necks. The full neck is a rambo plus, and it sounds like what you have is as ihatework has explained.

I have this but there is no neck filling? I was quite disappointed, its def. the heavyweightone, not med.

I dont think the neck has got a filling, I will have to get it out and have a look!

It was a brilliant buy though! £35 from the Blue Cross Show just been professionly cleaned!

It is the same as the one on the link.... just with the 2 belly straps
