Rambo summer series

I've bought one of these for my hot horse. It's been brilliant.

I got tempted by an amigo airflow in the sale ??‍ I was thinking I needed the UV back protection to protect my pink backed mare from sun burn. Her skin is recovering after a flare up

Would actually the summer series do the same job? Or will it be really hot in the proper sunshine? How hot does the back section make them?
The rugs are identical really apart from the waterproof or not fabric on the back section and the ability to add a liner to the Rambo.

The summer series are brilliant rugs for in between days and during early/late season, but are too hot to be used on properly hot summer days.

Thank you. That's what I wanted to know. I'll keep the other one then as a UV protecting fly rug.

Agreed. I had mine on my guy yesterday, who lives out but is also full clipped. He had been naked all week during the day with the sun and warm weather, but with yesterday being a little cooler and cloudy, the summer series (without the back lining) was perfect. It's a nice in-between when the no-fill turnout rug/sheet is too much, but I'm not comfortable with him being totally exposed having just been clipped.
