Rambo supreme 50g turnout

Welp it doesn’t fit 🥹
Fine everywhere but too tight under the neck. So that’s another expensive waste lol.

Can anyone recommend a rug that’s low cut under the neck?
Ah no! you can return though? I know you probably have to pay which is annoying.
I've just ordered. I've gone for regular size as my duo fits her fine so hopefully it will be ok. I feel a bit sick.... However I have some possible extra bits of work coming up so all good, Now to buy my rein coat and new boots   I need to stop, but we will both be dry!

I like the shires highlander rugs. I had to sell my rambo collection for this reason
Hmm they look quite high cut under the neck in the photos, not sure they’d be roomy enough.

Oof expensive month for you 😲
Ill just keep playing rug roulette 🙃

Yes i think they probably are, How about Swish?
They look about the same tbh. The Amigo XL might be worth a go, despite me swearing never to get Amigo again just 2 days ago lol. Or I might have to size up in a PE… that’ll be 6’6”.. same size as my old 17hh warmblood 🫣 this lad’s barely 16hh 😂 bloomin chunky monkey.

Amazon have Horseware rugs on sale or did….
and have you checked Horseware Ireland on line….I don’t know if they still sell “seconds” but I bought all my Rambo rugs as “seconds” and do you know what made them “seconds” the stitching was out of sinc!
They lasted years…sorry if this information is out of date…

The Horseware sizing is awful. I have 2 9 year old 6ft Rhinos which fit DP but not Bailey yet I have an even older 6ft Rhino which fits him perfectly. I bought a new 50gm Amgio last year for Bailey which was so tight across the shoulders I gave it to a friend and ended going up a size just to fit him. As for the Rambo stable rugs, the 6ft swamp both of them.

I just wish they would stick with one design for the Amigo, Rhino and Rambo so it wasn’t such a lottery when buying new rugs.

It’s so annoying isn’t it! Even between brands 6’ or whatever should be the same, even if different cuts suit different shapes the size should be accurate surely!

My 15.1hh is in a 6'9 😂 Even in Premier Equine. My 2yo is currently in 6'6 but I'm hoping he grows enough to rug share but not so much that I need to find 7'0s 😄

ive just bought this one ;

definitely a generous fit. But will be able to layer up for the season.

Feels a really good quality rug and at a great price

Ooh I've had this in my basket for my chunky big shouldered WB - usually well into a 6ft9, but wondering if he'd get away with a 6ft6 seeing as the optimos are for chunkier types. How do you think it sizes/fits?

Length wise it’s spot on , but there’s definitely room for a few layers .
I’ve just ordered another for one of my others and gone down a size .
The other was for my 4yo , so I know as she bulks out over time it will eventually be a perfect fit !
I love the shoulder on it , it’s not pulling / rubbing .

What’s the depth like under the neck? I’m wondering if it’s worth a try for mine

Sorry to jump on and derail the thread but while were on the topic of horseware rugs -
I came across online a Rambo duo 1000D 100g with a 100g & 300g liner, I was going to purchase the amgio 1200D bundle that comes with similar liners but the rambo is the same price. Am I correct to assume that the rambo will be more durable than the 1200D amigo?

ETA - if she is a 6'3" in rhino wug and its fine on length maybe a bit tight on her neck do I size up or down for the rambo?

I found the rugs on sport pursuits .com which has a good selection of horseware rugs on it at the minute and seems a legit website

Not sure I can advise as horseware sizing seems so random. If the length is good I might try the same size but it’s just a guess.

I’ve spun the rug roulette wheel again and trying the Rambo optimo in 6’6. I bet it’ll swamp him now 😂 Hope Valley will think I’ve lost the plot lol.

im of the opinion that Rambo are much better quality than the Amigo. every amigo ive had has got ripped / lost a clip /strap within a couple of years. The one Rambo i bought about 15 years ago is still going strong. So im hoping they are as good as they used to be

As for sizes, thats a tough one.

Yes I find all my amigos have small tears on them even though my girls are fairly good with their rugs. I found this on the horseware website '1000D ballistic nylon is 87% stronger than polypropylene used in Rhino rugs and 132% stronger than standard 1200D polyester.'

I may be purchasing the Rambo so, hopefully her usual size will fit!

I find rhinos run smaller than Rambo’s. I think I would just go for a 6’3 if the rhino is ok but a bit tight.

so, my new rug arrived . Fits perfect on my 16hd chunk ID . Hes usually a 6ft 9, so went for the 6ft 6 and its spot on.
