I've been after a walker rug for a while, just keeping an eye out second hand.
There is a Rambo one on ebay but the seller "thinks" its about 400g. This would make it way way too warm for my horse. Do they even come in that weight? It sounds a bit odd to have an exercise rug that thick.

I’ve got one in 100g and another in 200g. The weights are on a label sewn in the seam.

The 200g is plenty warm enough for the PSSM mare who needs her back kept very warm. 400g IMHO would be far too warm

They’re brilliant things. I even use them when trimming feet in winter, less rug to get in the way.

I'd like the 100g Amigo but really don't want to spend that right now.
I think I'm going to assume she is mistaken on the weight, I'll message and see if there is a label sewn in.

Sorry, neither of mine are for sale!

Re sizing, the L fits the 15.2hh sports horse mare who is in 6’3” rugs, and the XL fits the 16.1hh IDx who is in 6’9” rugs. Go large if in between the two sizes.
That’s helpful thanks! It might be that XL is ok then I wonder?
I had found and paid for a large Amigo recently but the seller apologised it was actually XL and refunded me. I may see if that’s still available.
Rhinegold do a 100gm one and its much cheaper
Yeah I have one in my watch list. They are a lot cheaper but weren’t very waterproof when a yard I worked at had them so I’d rather try and find a 2nd hand Horseware if possible. I will get the Rhinegold if I don’t find one though.
