Has anyone got a Rambo Wug Plus with a zipped neck and have they had trouble with it? I have several older Rambo's with velcro and clip necks which are ok but I have a brick red one with a zip which keeps sticking. It had come undone from the bottom today and got stuck at the top so I had to lift the whole thing over the horse's head - not easy with a soaking wet 6'6" rug. I have just unpicked the zip but do I put a new one in or devise some other method of doing up the neck?

We have one and its always been fine. I had some extra elastic stitched in either side of the zip to give a bit of extra room in the neck, but is a really nice rug and no the zip has never stuck.

I would have to get the saddler to replace with velcro and clips as my sewing machine isn't man enough! The clips do break from time to time. The elastic is a good idea.

I have that red one with the zip and find its fine when it first goes on but after the rug gets used a bit and mud goes into the teeth of the zip it starts getting fiddly. I think the newer versions have velcro instead of a zip so they must of decided it was a bit of a design problem and changed it.

I have this exact rug and the zip broke almost straight away. Our rug repairer did a great job of making velcro attachments for it and its been perfect ever since so don't despair!

Well, I've just spent the morning putting on velcro and small clip straps like the early rugs - my sewing machine actually behaved itself! Fingers crossed my work lasts!
