We have had a new ramp made for the lorry, metal and wood are all in place but we need to decide on what material will go on the piece the horses walk up. Whats better - Carpet, rubber..?
Any Ideas?
yes rubber can be slippy,l have heavy duty carpet from an ordinary carpet shop wasnt very expensive still going strong 9yrs later!! It is very hard and ridged so ideal for grip
We have rubber with built-in rubber ridges for extra grip, better than having wood or metal struts across as no danger of the nails or splinters coming out. Its great stuff but wouldn't have a clue where to get it.
Rubber looks smart and is easy to clean but can be slippy. Carpet is slightly harder to clean but is fairly slip proof - IMO! It depends on how steep your lorry ramp is as rubber works well with slats to avoid slipping on less angled ramps whereas carpet would be my preferance with a severely steep ramp!
