Hi, I am hoping that someone will be able to give me some advice. I have recently purchased a little lorry, very small and quite old (but sound) and am loving the independence of being able to go out and about (now I've got the hang of going over 12 mph and out of 2nd gear!). The chassis is an LT35 and the body is a 'bolt on' Ifor Williams body. The ramp, although not very steep, is steeper than a trailer (obviously!) and is covered with a plain rubber surface (the criss crossy stuff that's really hard to brush up poo from!). Anyway, I am a little worried about my boy slipping on the ramp, especially when wet, so wondered if anyone could give me advice on fixing wooden/alu 'struts' to give a bit more grip. The body is metal, not wood, and I wondered if this means that it is better not to screw anything in, in case it rusts or weakens the ramp. Sorry that this sounds such a silly question! Thanks very much!
