Ok a random question.

Has anyone repaired their lorry floor? My lorry has a wet pour rubber floor (i.e. not a mat but the liquid stuff that sets!) on top of wood on top of metal!

I brought it with two small holes in the rubber (hoof sized) but with Fleur's prancing she has added another two and I want to get them repaired. I have been doing lots of googling and from what I can tell it is essentially the same stuff as used in playgrounds and I can buy a DIY kit to do it myself for under £100 with only the aid of a stanley knife which is really rather appealing rather than paying hundreds to get the whole thing relaid which seems rather unnecessary for the current level of damage.

Does anyone have experience with these kits or repairing this type of floor? any hints or tips? :D

Shall I be the guinea pig then? I have found gazillions of the kits online but most you need to order over the phone so I'm thinking giving a few companies a call tomorrow to discuss. Best I've found is £60 for a kit that allows you to do up to 4 repairs over a year!

If they say yes should work and I get a kit and do it myself I will let you know if I'm successful LOL

Use the proper flooring kit which you can pick up from here for example

There will be more than enough as that will do nearly 2 M2 just try and judge how much to mix and keep the rest for another occassion .
Some of the playground stuff will be a more springy compound and not up to hooves etc
it is very easy to lay but mix enough to do one hole at a time rather than commit a lot of the mix as it goes off quite quick.

Ecrozier what do you say? Found same product on another site about £20 cheaper as well. Will go ahead and order and will if fast delivery will aim to do repair this weekend as lorry not needed for next two weeks and forecast is good. If I have a good half left (I should easily) how you fancy buying the other half from me? :D

Sounds like an excellent plan! If you do have some left, let me know? I only need to do a few marks where friend's horse scraped the floor and bubbled the matting!! How much was the kit? On laptop all day if you want to PM me.
