Random sweat patch

My horse has a random patch that sweats when he works? It's like a line, bout 4x1 inches, where the edge of a rug would go on his shoulder blade. It only sweats the same amount as the usual places (under his throat, around the ears etc) but it's not in contact with any tack, so seems quite weird? Only really noticed it in the last few weeks. Is it something I should worry about?
 
Ahh, that would explain it, as it is literally where a rug would be. I wonder if one of his rugs over winter was too tight across the shoulder and caused damage.
 
My old horse has one just below his wither on one side - it use to sweat like mad when he was stressed or hot. Somebody said to me it was probably nerve damage in that area too. We have since had multiple issues with neurological problems and back problems with him, but he did have a hard life as a youngster :(
 
Mine had it for a couple of years over his quarters after an operation under GA, I think it was nerve damage (physics view too) from the slings they lift them in. It's gradually improved over the years.
