Does anyone have a permit to ride here and if so is it a nice place to ride.
Don't think you need a permit anymore! Google permissive bridleway Rangemore! You used to have to pay £10 a day but they opened it up for free a few years back! The part accessed off scotch hills anyway! I go up there every few weeks and there is a nice grassy stretch for a good gallop but the rest of the woods is quite over grown. Dunstall estate is a nicer ride and that is definitely free but you need to stick to the bridleway!Does anyone have a permit to ride here and if so is it a nice place to ride.
Where are you based? Cannock chase is probably the best for hacking off road and there are lots of car parksThank you. Do you know if there's parking for horseboxes at either of these places?
There are two gates off Scotch hills and it is definitely now a permissive bridleway. There is even a mounting block up by the top gate. There are maps on each of the gates. You could park at Jackson's bank and ride around there and then over a515 and down scotch hills to Rangemore woods.I didnt know you could get on the rangemore estate. Where abouts!??? I trailered to the scotch hills yesterday (physio wanted hill work so hill work I did!) im only a 10 min drive from there. I havent dared brave the chase yet either. Im sure I'll get lost. Whoever was asking about parking I just pulled over on the verge (hunting style!) put no theres not any specific parking.
