Sorry about this guys i just need to vent.
Our yard is owned by a 84yr old women who god bless her is a nice lady but doesnt understand horses too well.
The basic runnnig of the yard is left to one of the liveries who decides when the fields are swapped over who goes where etc etc.
Well one of my lads (Indi) has to be on cortaflex and rig calm everyday so has to have a small feed in the summer each day just to get what he needs inside him.
Yesterday they were still in their winter field (which has no grass what so ever) and i asked the head livery when they were going to be moved over to the summer field (which is overloaded on grass etc) and she said not till the middle of the week.
Any way i brought him in and gave him a good feed along with a haynet just to keep him going as it was obvious that all our horses were hungry.
Got down there today to find all our three in the summer field, bloated, uncomfortable and lying down!
So i found out that 20mins after i left the yard the head livery had a change of heart and chucked them all in the rested field!!
Rolo and Marley just seemed to be bloated from over eating during the night but Indi (who had the feed) was really uncomfortable, i have had to spend the whole day with him making sure his bowels are moving and he was ok!
Why oh why dont they just make a plan of whats going to happen and stick to it!!!
