awful isn't it, we had the same problem when we were looking- phoned up for a horse which sounded perfect, phoned up and husband said his wife had gone on holiday and he didnt have a clue about the horse, he said she would ring when she got back- didnt hear from them!

I think it is stupid when people do this, not only does it annoy and put potential buyers off but also why waste the money on the ad in the first place?

My horse has been for sale for the last 6 weeks or so, I have had several calls about him but the phone line isn't red hot and I certainly don't let my life revolve around the fact someone might just call- like Pixie has said, I expect they have gone away for the Bank Holiday weekend, hardly a crime!

Fair enough though if someone says they will call you back they should call back. Fingers crossed you get a flood of calls though now the BH is over!

When I sold my mare last year at first I was bending over backwards to accomodate people, but after getting timewaster after timewaster and no shows, I decided to only see the ones I could fit in, and if I was busy then no I wouldnt answer my phone or stop what I was doing.

Even after she had been sold for a while I was getting at least one call every other day, and even when I said she is sold and has gone to her new home, people were still asking about her, what is the point!

Im not asking them to drop everything by any means but a call back would have been good, one very dissapointed 15 year old who is wanting to get looking and an empty stable waiting and most messages left on mobiles, oh well there loss

Yes I know what you mean but unless they have arranged for you to see the horse then backed out, then they arent really doing anything wrong. Many people go away for the bank hol, and of course if people arent returning your calls the horse could also be sold.

My advice is, if you REALLY like the horse, just keep ringing THEM until you get an answer!
