Really narked found out I haven't got into next weekend's ODE. Apparently full and done on a first come first served basis but would have thought doesn't take 2 weeks to realise full and can't accept an entry that should have arrived before closing date if royal mail did their job!

Anyway narked and going to see what else can do now. I think its too late for anything else that weekend now and not sure what other ODEs are coming up gah was really looking forward to having a bash at it as well

Has anyone else been called today to say they not got in?
 
Sort of know how you feel, as it has rained here for 3 days non stop I am v worried that Flo's first intro on Sunday will be cancelled. There is water lying in our manege and the fields, and it seems like March it is so cold.
I have spent the last fortnight hoping for rain, but didn't think there would be quite sooo much!!
Good luck for finding something else to go to though, might be better than nothing.

my main nark though is not that oversubscirbed but that they have taken 2 weeks to tell me that! Other ODEs, HTs I have entered even before the closing date if they are oversubscribed they have rung to say sorry no room but can wait list if you want (or no wait list running). But now I have no chance of going elsewhere. there is one possible one i could get into but its over 2 hours drive and I just won't go that far. I'm now looking at either the 8th or 15th as the next dates there is anything vaguely close but the one on the 8th is still 90mins away and a nasty drive at that. All the main places locally now have a 'mid season' break until late August or September for open competitions.

Was so looking forward to doing it as well, if it was one event from several entered I wouldn't feel half as narked just been building up to it.

Oh well nothing I can do now as ensured no chance of getting in!

Hope yours isn't rained off though and hope the rest of the guys on here have got into pontispool, i think most were doing the RC qualifiers so hopefully they should have done...
 
My bro turned up at an RC event at Coombelands over the bank holiday to find it had been cancelled. They had left a message on his mobile, but he hadn't listened to it - silly fool.
See what you mean though - they could have told you much quicker, and giving you a chance to do something else.

I was looking forward to seeing you too! Surely they could have let you know earlier than this?
I would ring back and say so and ask to go on a wait list, someone is sure to cancell after all this rain..
I reckon our Combined Training at Winkleigh might be off on Sunday, CCj has just gone up to ride Jacques in the rain, after he mega leapt her off two days ago she daren't leave him a day at the moment..
Luckily she landed on the school, somehow cut her arm falling but got up and after "words" with him rode him again. yesterday she rode him twice and he was fine, but these Matinee's seem to be totally different to our normal horses.
This was because he had the dressage saddle on and you have to lean down to turn the Sue Carson stirrups to get your foot in. He's back to the GP saddle again for now!
Hope you get a late cancellation and we see you there.

oh no!thats a real bu*ger...it always annoys me how they always do that at the last minute. i hope i dont get a call.....i will be so annoyed ive been practising so much.well i hope you find something

From my understanding the section you were entered into was fairly small even with day before dressage. Our RC seems to be sending 10 people for the Novice and then there is the intermediate and open classes all to run in one day. Bit of a pain in the neck - Taunton Vale have one on Sunday what about trying a late entry - 01884 235874, the sunday after there is one at Winkleigh again might be worth trying a late entry. 01837 83564
 
I sadly can't do anything this weekend due to 'the' party as won't be back yard way till early afternoon. Know there is winkleigh one but the drive is a bit of an arse and from all various websites it seems RC qualifiers only with no open classes.

I can understand it being a small section etc my main nark is the late notice considering my entry was past the quota over 2 weeks ago when it arrived giving me one weeks notice. Hey BE normally give at least 3 weeks don't they? i know most round here do.
