Rant! irresponsible people

Every time I see these two things it makes me want to yell at the owner of the dog.
People walking next to a road with dog off lead or on extending lead, JUST PUT THE DOG ON A DAMN LEAD!!!! Dont care how good the dog is, how much the owner thinks it has 'road sense' its a dog, it does NOT have road sense.
People letting the dog put its head out the window when they are driving along, What if the dog sees a rabbit or a cat and jumps out!!! What if a lorry came past a bit near!
I see these two things so often and it infuriates me!

Agree totally with you on both counts. A friend of mine took his terrier to work with him all the time. He jumped out of the window after a rabbit and was killed by the trailer he was towing. My friend was devastated.

With you totally! A long long time ago a friend had his staffy on an extending lead and it just tipped over the pavement and got hit by a car and killed.
