Rant Vet-Medic - is it just me thinks is is madness ??

I've just called vet-medic whom I normally buy wormers for all animals from to find out what tapeworm I ordered and used in oct.

I would normally log online to see all my past orders but there is nothing there.

To be told they have no history of what customers have ordered and they had a new system in march and kept the details only for two months !!

I asked what if there was a problem with the products they sold and the manufacture asked for a recall how would they know who they had sold to, the response was " I don't know"

Is it just me that is baffled by this fact ...... :confused:

Regardless of the 'problem' issue, they should be keeping records for an audit. I think for accounts it has to be 3 years, so I'm guessing the person you spoke to just doesn't know.
 
Having been involved in several changes if computer systems I know that they will almost certainly have the old system live on at least one computer (if not all of them) in an 'enquire inly' state which means they can see it but not add new orders or invoices to it

If they really don't have that then there should be paper records. IIRC from my days as an office auditor you must have transaction records going back 7 years (??)
 
Sorry should have said I asked the lady on the phone to find out for me and she came back to say "no". I then asked for directors details and she advise he knew of my issue. Assuming she asked him about the past system.
