I have a heavily feathered cob and keep him on rubber mats and shavings,he mostly lives out but most days has a few hours in. Does anyone know the situation regarding mites if using rape straw or miscanthus or hemp?

I have a feathered cob on chopped rape straw, no issues with mites.
I suspect the dust extraction might deal with them if there are any.
