I haven't visited my horse since Sunday (field kept on a busy livery yard so it's ok before you all collapse and die!), went up today and he's suddenly fluffy! Sunday he was sleek and smooth (TB x) today, fluffy teddy!

Bit pointless post, I was just really suprised, I don't know where it's come from, it's not even been particularly cold this week (he's out without a rug) though he is kept on top of a windy hill.

he was also sound as a pound, which I don't know is a good or bad thing, as his scintigraphy is mid october.

My arab has grown a big fluffy coat already too. I think it's pretty cold overnight here so I'm putting it down to that cos she's still out without a rug. Though she doesn't need a rug on now as she's so hairy!

Hope the scintigraphy works out. I don't know you're story, are you wanting her to be unsound so they can pick up what's causing it?

It is quite cold overnight now - my horse is already stabled over night and he is having just a summer sheet on and that seems to be keeping his coat down, but some at my yard already have slightly warmer rugs on, and some have already been clipped!

Schooled mine yesterday and she was really sweaty after 40 mins, on neck and back aswell as under saddle. i was quite surprised, dont usually clip till later in Oct but now looking like it will need to be next week.................she looks like polar bear when she gets fluffy
