Rare foal twins!

Just gorgeous and so very precious. The wonky one has every chance of coming right, specially with those super boots! His legs are a bit wonky because there wasn't much room inside mum, they'll come right now he has more space.

These two are just gorgeous. You must keep us updated with their progress.

Well done mum

legs and need for special boots.
i wish you all the luck in the world
its a lovely story ........a real heartwarmer xx

what lovely wee faces they have, i'm so glad you are giving little Fell the chance. really hope his legs can straighten out, i wish them and you luck x

They are lovely and I wish you all the luck in the world. The boots are fascinating and I hope you'll keep us updated as it's so useful to know what's out there to help in therapeutic cases. I take a special interest as my daughter is at vet school, so case studies are aways useful to hear about and especially the outcome. (Ignore sourface a few posts above, I think you will see they are in the minority!).

For your information I approached the H&H with an appeal for help to raise funds for treatment for my twins - NOT for my own glory. In the meantime the Times and my local paper took it up and we have received some very kind donations towards the boots/vet care. If these boots work they will be donated back to Newmarket Equine Hospital so that they can help another little foal or two in the future. H&H have benefited from my business as a stud for a long time. Because a factory caught fire near my house and went on burning for nearly two months, I had to evacuate 18 horses and put them in livery. I no longer have any available funds for Fell's treatment, hence the appeal for help. Thanks again.

I would like to thank you all for your kind comments and good wishes for my little twins. Vet comes tomorrow evening to fit boots (after my husband gets the drill and hacksaw out to alter them, they are miles too long for Fell). Will take photo all being well of Fell in new kinky boots.

In the meantime, your support means alot.

What a pair of crackers!! I do hope you will keep us updated with their progress. Good on you for giving the little one a chance!! Best of luck with them xx

You ought to have a legal claim agaist the factory Kingsmate if you were forced to evacuate your horses and put them in livery. Have you spoken to a solicitor? You ought to be able to claim against the factory's insurance.

I think they are absolutely adorable - and I wish you every bit of luck with them.

I hope you manage to re-coup your costs regarding the livery - from the Factories insurance company - soon. What a nightmare.

How about a blog about the twins??

dont worry about the one horrible reply.
your doing all you can and thats great
do keep us posted , perhaps we could donate a small amount each ?
i for one could if we all donated just a few pounds it would help.
come on guys someone help set up a donation fund

It was a rubber processing plant. We live 100 yards from it. It was belching out toxic smoke which the local agencies said wasn't toxic! There is no insurance available to cover my costs - I have to fight it out in court. So far the factory owner and insurers have thrown out all claims. The white building in the second photo is our stables! Pictures taken from my bedroom window minutes after fire started on 21st August, it was eventually put out on 9th October - the night the twins were born!!

If I have one..would I have to have the other?

Cos, that would be no problem!

Biggest congratulations and good luck with the little wonky one

He'll come through! Good luck with re-couping funds as well!

Please read my earlier post - I was told mare was barren! ie could never conceive. I have my doubts that the day this vet scanned my mare she wasn't already in foal with these twins, either that or she conceived from the two days she was with my stallion last October before I moved her!

The fire burnt for 7 weeks. They were in livery for 8-9 weeks. The horses have only been brought home over the last couple of weeks. We still have a horrendous smell coming from the site and I have been afraid that when they bring in heavy machinery to move the burnt rubber about they will kick up dust and make the horses ill (again).

Good grief you've had a heck of a time of it lately!
Foalies are as cute as can be. I'm sure Fell will get through all of this fine - they are remarkably resilient as you well now. And if he is slightly wonky it doesn't mean he can't have a useful life! Well done for getting this far

Oh and Carrib - bugger off - there was no need for that.

They are a couple of little corkers and I really hope they both do well and grow big and strong. I think they should become our forum x factor!!

Please keep us all posted with upto date news and photos. It is a lovely story.
