Ratcatcher vs Cubbing

Ratcatcher is the style of attire that you wear "cubbing" or Autum hunting.
So that is hacking jacket with tie, fawn breeches & brown boots but black are fine.

Generally all hunts wear ratcatcher till the opening meet then you proceed in full dress. Some revert at the end of the season others don't.

That would be speculation on my part. One thing I've picked up is that, before the ban, killing foxes was quite common whereas in the U.S., we rarely do. They're considered only minor pests over here and since just about all country people are armed, any that bother farm people would just be shot, so we don't need hunts to keep the population in check.
