Rather proud of myself

I've owned Beau for nearly 4 years now and on Saturday we finally did XC jumps - he has done numerous courses before, I haven't for almost TEN years!!
I am proud of myself as I always deemed XC as scarier than SJ, but now I am not so sure as he was so much more forward and powerful going at the XC ones.
He even jumped, first time without refusing but he did give them BIG clearance, a row of plastic barrells, but he wasn't so sure about the drops, but nothing a good old welly boot couldn't sort. This was all after we had ridden for almost 50 mins to get to the XC/riding school - and he managed the homeward stretch so 3hours in total, and he still had energy to fly off when he went out.

So I am rather chuffed with myself as I thought I was a total chicken

Wow that fantastic!! Thats my ambition, to go around a UK Chasers couse. Only just started jumping tho and have only owned him 3 months, so early days.
I bet you feel fab!

It felt like I had been doing it for years - and all because there was no pressure what so ever and he was so keen, but not in the bolting off way. Only managed about a combination of 5 in a row due to the ground in some parts being all churned up.

So, hopefully get to do a course this year

Hey well done you!! I've gone over a couple of XC jumps myself when I've been feeling really brave so can imagine how chuffed you are

. I keeping trying to pluck up the courage to have a go myself but not quite got there yet.
