Our JRT was an amazing ratter. We once ripped out all the old wooden feed bins to replace them with metals ones and we realised we had disturbed the biggest rat nest ever. Vile. Was tonnes of them and loads of babies too. JRT was straight in there, ended up like a scene out of a slasher movie and the dog was plastered in rat guts but they were all dead within 15 mins.
Cats then took over and kept on top of the issue from then on. JRT was still regularly on rat patrol though.
