Hi just wondering if anyone has come across this.
I bought my daughter a pony last week and the second time she sat on it it reared vertical. I phoned the previous owner that night who said he'd never done anything like that before and if i wanted i could send it back as my daughters safety is obviously very important (she's 4).
I got the vet out to check it right away and he has found that the roof of his mouh is coverd in mouth ulcers and the flesh inbetween his front teeth and rear teeth looks like he has chewed this to bits?? It is all VERY sore looking and to be honest I really dont blame the poor pony! The vet says he could've eaten something toxic or had a alergic reaction to something. His teeth were done at the end of July and the dentist had written on his report that the teeth were very sharp but now fine. My vet checked and said his teeth were now perfect but the flesh wounds could be due dentists tools 'stabbing' the edge of his mouth? But it wouldnt explain the ulcers.
Any ideas? Sorry for huge post but wanted to give as much information as possible.
Thanks
